What is a wallpaper generator?
A wallpaper generator creates original backgrounds for your desktop, phone or tablet without any image editing skills. Instead of searching for stock photos, you pick a style and a color palette and the tool renders a unique image from a random seed.
This tool supports two styles: smooth mesh gradients made of softly blended color blobs, and aurora ribbons with flowing bands of light. Every wallpaper is rendered locally in your browser and exported as a full-resolution PNG.
Two styles
Switch between the two generators with the style buttons:
- Mesh Gradient — organic color blobs blended into a smooth gradient, similar to modern operating system backgrounds.
- Aurora — layered translucent ribbons and glows that resemble the northern lights.
How to create a wallpaper
- Pick a style: Mesh Gradient or Aurora.
- Choose a color palette swatch or define up to four custom colors.
- Press the dice button to roll a random seed, or type a seed to reproduce a previous wallpaper.
- Select an output size preset for desktop, phone or tablet, or enter a custom width and height.
- Toggle film grain for a subtle texture, then click the download button to save the PNG at full resolution.
Tips
- Dark palettes with low contrast make app icons easier to read on a home screen.
- For phones, pick a preset with a matching aspect ratio so the wallpaper is not cropped.
- If you find a layout you like but want different colors, keep the seed and only change the palette.
