What is a Video Trimmer?

This tool lets you pick the start and end times of a video and cut out the clip you need in one click. Two modes are available: lossless fast trim (stream copy, done in seconds) and precise re-encode (frame-accurate). Everything runs locally in your browser.

How to use

Done in three steps:

  • Upload a video (drag & drop or click).
  • Drag the start/end sliders to select the segment you want to keep.
  • Choose a mode, click “Cut Video” and download the MP4 when done.

Tips

  • Fast (lossless) mode does not re-encode, so it is very fast — great for grabbing long segments.
  • Precise mode re-encodes for frame-accurate cut points.
  • To remove a middle section, cut two parts first, then join them with the Video Joiner.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between fast (lossless) and precise (re-encode)?+
Fast mode uses stream copy without re-encoding, so it is very fast but cut points may not be frame-exact. Precise mode re-encodes for frame-accurate cuts at the cost of speed.
Which video formats are supported?+
MP4, WebM, MOV and other formats the browser can read.
Are my videos uploaded?+
No. All processing happens locally in your browser; your video never leaves your device.
Why is the file size almost unchanged after a lossless cut?+
Because lossless mode only copies streams without recompressing, so the size stays close to the source. Precise mode recompresses and is usually smaller.
